Vintage 12k gold filled locket with 23k gold inside hand made necklace

This Auction is the larger 20 mm locket : Vintage 12k gold filled locket with 23k gold inside, hand made new old stock. These lockets are made from the inherited contents of my grandfather's jewelry briefcase. Inside there were materials to make both an approximately 20mm ( large locket) and 15 mm (smaller locket). He had the 23k gold leaf (place carefully inside locket) and a bunch of other jewelry making materials. He also had a few completed lockets for a great example and wonderful stories to tell my kids. This briefcase was inherited actually by my father who also passed away leaving me to sort through it. My grandfather made and sold jewelry in his shop in Leadville, Colorado closing in the early 70's. I remember as a child that he was always giving these lockets as gifts to family and friends later in life. My daughter and I put together lockets for all the girls in the family this year for Christmas and now we are ready for production. We decide to put a few completed lockets up for sale. The locket components have been stored for over 50 years and have survived time quite nicely. They are new, old stock and have never been worn. I've added a new beautiful 18 inch 14k gold filled cable chain to each locket. They look elegant and retro and I think the essence of grandpa's creation has been accurately captured. The large locket is roughly the size of a quarter and the smaller locket is the size of a dime. The lockets will have some oxidation due to age and each locket will have slightly different look as each is hand made. Please email any questions
